Tenant Data

The Tenant dropdown menu allows you to select a tenant profile among the (5) beta tester data sets. Each tenant profile contains the Trailing 12 Months (TTM) of Rent Expense data and Transaction data.

Monthly Income

Enter a monthly income amount you would like to model against the expense data to see how changes in income impact affordability.  The beta testers’ actual income is disclosed below.

Subsidy %

Enter subsidy percentages for the spending categories of your choice (Utility, Fuel, Grocery, Food & Beverage) and see the impact on the beta testers’ historical spending behavior.

Subsidy Simulation Start Date

Set a subsidy start date to view how impactful the subsidies would have been on the beta testers’ rent affordability if provided at different times over the course of 12 months.

Trailing 12 Months (TTM) of Rent Expense Data

This amount is sourced from the beta testers’ rental data. The total is the last 12 months of monthly charges from their landlord.  These charges include rent, late fees, and any other property related charges.

Trailing 12 Months (TTM) of Cost of Living Expense Data

This amount is sourced from the beta testers’ banking transaction data. The total is the last 12 months of transactions that fall into the categories of Utilities, Fuel, Grocery, and Food & Beverage.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) defines affordable housing as housing that a household can afford by
spending no more than 30% of their income.

Rent Affordability Ratio > 30% = Not Affordable
Rent Affordability Ratio < 30% = Affordable
