Building a new connection between commerce and housing.

SubsidySync is building infrastructure that connects rental communities, residents and businesses, creating a new way for everyday commerce to contribute to housing affordability.

Our flagship platform, Rent Rewards, transforms merchant-funded rewards tied to everyday purchases into credits toward rent.

Our story

A new approach to a problem we've spent years working around.

SubsidySync grew from firsthand experience in real estate, affordable housing, property operations, engineering and technology.

Our founders saw the housing affordability challenge from multiple sides: renters facing rising housing costs, property owners working to maintain stable communities, housing organizations operating within limited resources, and businesses spending billions of dollars every year competing for consumers.

SubsidySync initially focused on improving the infrastructure used to distribute and measure housing subsidies. That work led to a broader realization: what if housing support didn't have to depend solely on traditional subsidy funding? The opportunity was to connect housing with an economic system operating at vastly greater scale — everyday commerce.

That insight led to Rent Rewards and our vision for commerce-powered housing support, a model in which businesses can use customer-acquisition and loyalty spending to reward consumers with credits toward one of their largest recurring expenses: rent.

Today, SubsidySync is building the infrastructure to connect those participants into a single ecosystem: residents, rental communities, merchants and strategic partners.

Our thesis

Commerce can become another source of housing support.

Traditional housing assistance plays an essential role for millions of households, but access is constrained by eligibility requirements, available funding and program capacity.

At the same time, consumers spend trillions of dollars each year, while businesses spend hundreds of billions competing to acquire and retain those consumers. Through Rent Rewards, merchant-funded incentives tied to qualifying purchases can become credits toward rent, allowing normal commercial activity to create an additional source of housing support.

What we're building
Everyday commerce Merchant-funded rewards Housing support

One transaction, three participants.

The merchant

Gains a customer.

The resident

Earns value toward rent.

The rental community

Gains a meaningful resident benefit.

As the network grows, each participant can make it more valuable for the others.

Our vision

A housing-support system built for everyone.

Universal doesn't mean guaranteed.
It means accessible.

SubsidySync is building the infrastructure for what comes next.

Our long-term vision is a housing-support network in which the opportunity to participate isn't determined solely by income eligibility or enrollment in a government program. We envision a future where any renter connected to the network can have the opportunity to earn value toward housing costs through purchases they already make.

Government and nonprofit housing programs can remain essential parts of the affordability ecosystem. Commerce-powered housing support creates another layer — one capable of growing alongside the economic activity already taking place in our communities.
